Day 02 Habarana / Polonnaruwa / Habarana

Day 03 Habarana / Sigiriya / Habarana

Transfer to Sigiriya

Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress located in Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. The massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 ft.) high.

Lunch at local outside restaurant.

Depart to Aukana.

Some 30km northwest of Golden Dambulla Rock Temple, the village of Aukana located close to the large ancient “Kala Wewa” rainwater reservoir.

Day 04 Habarana / Dambulla / Matale / Kandy

Transfer to Dambulla

Visit Dambulla Rock Temple Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. The paintings and statues of caves are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues.

Continue your journey to Kandy

Check in to the Hotel in Kandy.

In the evening visit Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the Kandy.

Day 05 Kandy / Three Temples / Peradeniya / Kandy

Transfer to visit three temples

  1. Lankathilake Located at Udunuwara Hiyarapitiya village of Kandy is the famous temple of Lankatilaka. The huge rock where the temple was built is called as Panhangala Rock. Being one of the three famous ancient temples near Peradeniya.
  2. Embekke Embekke Devale, famed for its elaborate woodcarvings, pillars and other structures, nestle in the Udu Nuwara. It lies close to Daulagala about eight miles from Kandy. Enticing Wood carvings – The UNESCO has identified these marvellous but elaborate carvings on wooden pillars to be the finest products of woodcarvings to be found in any part of the world.
  3. Gadalaeniya Gadaladeniya Rajamaha Viharaya with an ancient monastery is found on the flat rock at Diggala in the district of Kandy. This temple is essentially a South Indian design.

Day 07 Bandarawela / Udaweriya / Bandarawela

Day 08 Bandarawela / Udawalawe / Embilipitiya

Transfer to Udawalawe

Enroute you can visit Buduruwagala Temple. It is located about 5 km from the Wellawaya on the Thanamalwila road. The name Buduruwagala means “The rock with the statue of Buddha”.

Lunch at local outside restaurant.

In the evening you can do Udawalawe Jeep Safari. Udawalawe National Park is famous for its large population of elephants. Other than the elephants, the national park provides home for many other species of mammals.

Day 09 Embilipitiya / Rathnapura / Colombo / Air Port

Enroute you can visit Ratnapura town. You can visit Gem Mine in Rathnapura

Ratnapura is the place for gem mining in the island, and a visit to this city would enable you to see the process of digging the pits and washing the gravel containing the gems.

Proceed to Colombo

Do Colombo city tour (If time permits).

You will be transferred to Air Port for the Departure Flight
