“Lunuganga Estate ” none as Bawa garden was the country home of the renowned Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. Started in 1947, the garden led Bawa, a lawyer decides to become an architect. As he went on to become Sri Lanka’s and one of Asia’s most prolific and influential architects. The garden at the Lunuganga estate remained his first muse and experimental laboratory for new ideas. He continued to change and experiment with its spaces and structures throughout his life until his passing in 1998. He left the Lunuganga Trust on his demise in 2003, the gardens are now open to the public and the buildings on the estate are run as a country house hotel. Bawa Sri Lanka gives the visitors the exceptional outlook on nature through Geoffrey Bawa’s Eyes.

Day 1: AirPort / Negombo

Warm welcome & assist at the Bandaranayake International Air Port with a representative from Ceylon Valley Tours & transfer to Hotel in Negombo. (Approximately 20 minutes’ drive) Negombo is a city on the west coast of Sri Lanka

Day 2: Negombo / Kandalama

After Breakfast at Hotel transfer to Kandalama in Dambulla (Approximately 05 hours’ drive).

Relax at the hotel.

Day 3: – Kandalama / Sigiriya / Kandalama

Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress located in Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. Massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 ft.) high.

Return back to the hotel & relax.

Day 4: Kandalama / Matale / Kandy

Transfer to Dambulla

Visit Dambulla Rock Temple

Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. The paintings and statues of caves are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues.

Enroute visit Spice Garden in Matale 

Continue the journey to Kandy.

Lunch at local outside restaurant.

Check in to the Hotel in Kandy.

In the evening visit Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy / Bentota Bawa Tour / Ahungalla

Transfer to Bentota (Approximately 04hours drive).

Day 6: Ahungalla / Galle / Ahungalla

Transfer to Galle. 

Do Galle Sightseeing Galle is a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka.

Galle Lighthouse stands on the fort’s southeast tip. Visit the Light House Hotel in Galle On the fringe of the former Dutch Colonial town of Galle stands Jetwing Lighthouse.

Return back to Hotel.

Day 7: Ahungalla / Colombo
