Day 01

Warm welcome at the Bandaranayake International Air Port with a representative from Ceylon Valley Tours & you will be transferred to Kandy

Optional :

Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (Enroute)

Lunch will be served at local outside restaurant

Proceed to Kandy & relax at hotel

Overnight Stay at Hotel in Kandy.

Day 02

After breakfast at hotel, visit three temples close to Kandy .

Gadaladeniya temple

Gadaladeniaya Temple was built by king Wickramabahu in 1344 during the Gampola Kingdom time.
At the entrance, you can see the Dageba ( pagoda) by your right hand side. Actually, this consist of one main Dageba and four small ones. The main Dageba is covered with a roof. There are four small shrine rooms around it with small dagaba located top of each.
The Boo tree is located in front of the dageba and there is an old inscription located by it. You can see that is covered with a fence to prevent from damaging.

Embekke Devalaya

Embekke Devalaya is the best place in Sri lanka, may be in the world to see the finest wood carving work. This Devalaya is dedicated to the god Kataragama.

Lankatilaka Temple

The Lankatilaka temple history runs back to the Gampola Kingdom era. King Buwanekabahu IV has built this temple in 1344 AD.The King’s Chief Ministers Senalankadhikara was entrusted to carry out the
construction work of this temple.The South Indian architect Sthapati Rayar has designed this with a blend of Sinhalese architecture of Polonnaruwa period and of Dravidian and Indo Chinese style is the opinion of late Professor Paranavitana.

Proceed to Kandy

In the evening experience the amazing “Kandy Perahera”.

The Esala Perahera in Kandy is one of the oldest and grandest of all Buddhist pageants in Sri Lanka. Even though it is a Buddhist event, other religions devotees also take part here. The Esala Perahera in Kandy parades along the streets to honour the sacred Tooth Relic and the four ‘guardian’ Gods: Natha, Vishnu, Kataragama and Goddess Pattini.

Special Note: Perahera will be held on 16th Aug 2018 to 26th Aug 2018

 Day 03

Breakfast at Hotel

Visit Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the Kandy.

Do Kandy city tour with shopping .

Breakfast at Hotel & transfer to Colombo.

Do Colombo city tour. Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, has a long history as a port ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British.

Do Colombo Shopping

In the evening visit the Gangaramaya Temple.

Overnight Stay at Hotel in Colombo.

 Day 05

After breakfast at hotel,

Visit the “Kelaniya Temple”

You will be transferred to the Air Port for the departure flight.
